At MailHouseplants, we take pride in ensuring that your plants arrive happy and healthy.

However, we understand that sometimes the shipping journey can be rough. Our goal is to make sure you’re fully satisfied with your new plant friend. Please review our 60-Day Plant Guarantee Policy for information on replacements, refunds, and how we handle damage inquiries.

If Your Plant Arrives in Poor Condition

If your plant arrives damaged due to shipping, please email a photo to hello@mailhouseplants.com as soon as possible.

We are happy to offer one of the following options:

  • Replacement: If the same plant is available.
  • Refund: If a replacement is not preferred or the plant is out of stock.

If your plant of choice is unavailable, we can offer you a replacement plant of similar value. Please note that if you opt for a replacement instead of a refund, we cannot be held responsible for any damage to the replacement plant during its second journey.

Final Sale Policy on Live Plants

All live plant sales are considered FINAL.

Returns are not accepted for live plants, as they do not typically fare well on return trips. However, we gladly accept returns on plant accessories or non-perishable items in accordance with our general return policy.

Photo Proof Requirement

  • If your plant arrives damaged, please provide photo proof of the damage to qualify for a refund or replacement.
  • Without photo proof, we cannot guarantee a refund or replacement.
  • Important: Photos of any plant damage must be taken and submitted within 7 days of delivery to qualify for a refund or replacement.

Partial Refunds for Minor Cosmetic Damage

If your plant has slight cosmetic damage—such as a few yellowing leaves or one or two broken stems—but can still thrive with proper care, we may issue a partial refund of up to 30% of the original price.

Example: A plant with a minor issue like a yellowing leaf that can be pruned may qualify for a 30% refund.

Slightly Limp or Stressed Plants

If your plant arrives slightly limp or showing minor signs of stress, it may be due to temporary deprivation of light or water during transit. Many plants can recover fully after a few days of proper watering, light, and care.

Tip: Send us a photo, and we’ll be happy to offer guidance on bringing your plant back to health.

When a Full Refund May Not Apply

Due to the nature of live plants, not all damage will qualify for a full refund. Severe damage such as a completely wilted or dead plant will be assessed case by case, and we will work with you to find a suitable resolution.
