Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 8, 2026

Mailhouseplants is committed to making this site usable by everyone, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines as closely as practical and review accessibility regularly as we add new features.

What we do

  • Use semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks so screen readers can navigate the site.
  • Provide alt text on product photos and care diagrams.
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast on body text and primary calls to action.
  • Ensure keyboard-only navigation works through the main shopping flow (browse → add to cart → checkout).
  • Test on common assistive tech (NVDA, VoiceOver) before major releases.

Known limitations

We’re a small team and not everything is perfect. Areas we’re still improving: video captions on older blog posts, third-party embeds (some review widgets and payment iframes), and some legacy product photos that pre-date our alt-text standard.

Report an issue

If any part of this site doesn’t work with your screen reader, keyboard, magnifier, or other assistive technology, please tell us. We treat accessibility issues as bugs and prioritize them accordingly.

  • Email: [email protected] with “Accessibility” in the subject line
  • Phone: available on request, so email first and we’ll arrange a call

If you can’t complete a purchase because of an accessibility barrier, email us with what you were trying to do and we’ll process the order on your behalf at the same prices.
