Mailhouseplants is a small online nursery on a simple mission, which is to get healthy, happy houseplants from grower to doorstep without the drama.
Why we started
We love plants and we hated unboxing the ones we ordered online. Cracked pots, crushed leaves, soil everywhere, and a tracking page that went cold three states ago. We figured we could do better, so we built Mailhouseplants.
Every order is hand-picked and packed by a real person at one of our partner greenhouses in Florida or California, never by a robot or a fulfillment-center conveyor. If anything arrives less than perfect, our 30-Day Plant Guarantee has you covered.
What we believe
- Plants should arrive happy. If they don’t, we make it right, with no plant autopsies required.
- Care info should not be a treasure hunt. Every plant ships with a printed care card and links to its full guide.
- Small is a feature. We curate a focused catalog. We answer our own emails. You will never get routed to a chatbot that does not know what a Calathea is.

How an order gets to you
- Hand-picked. A real person at our partner greenhouse chooses the healthiest plant on the bench, not “first one in the row.”
- Watered & wrapped. Soil is moistened just enough for the trip; leaves are wrapped to prevent shipping damage.
- Boxed for the climate. When forecast lows on the route hit 45°F, a Winter Protection Fee adds a 72-hour heat pack and insulated lining automatically. In hot months, we ship early-week so nothing sits in a truck on Sunday.
- On its way. You get tracking the moment it leaves us, plus a real human to email if anything looks off.
